1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Sensorium Events (sensorium.events) and your attendance at events sold through it. The site and the events are operated by Sensorium Presents LLC ("Sensorium," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, buying a ticket, or attending an event, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or attend.
2. What Sensorium Events is
Sensorium Events is where we publish our wellness gatherings, sell tickets and vendor spaces, and host the community around them: member profiles, a community feed, direct messages between members, an events calendar, articles in Coms, and an assistant that answers questions about the site. Most events are produced by Sensorium. Where an event is hosted by another organiser, the event page names them, and that organiser is responsible for running it.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy tickets. A minor may attend only where the event page allows it, and only with a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms for them.
- Give accurate information and keep it current. The name and email on a ticket are how we recognise you at the door and reach you about the event.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away at knowledge@sensorium.events if you think someone else has used it.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Tickets you have bought, and records of payments, stay with the event’s records after you leave — see the Privacy Policy.
4. Tickets and admission
- A ticket admits the number of people it states. Each event has a capacity, and a ticket is only sold if there is room for everyone it admits.
- Your ticket is sent to you by email and kept in your account. Bring it to the door, on your phone or printed; it is checked in once.
- We may refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, for conduct that breaks section 9, for intoxication that puts anyone at risk, or where a venue or safety rule requires it. A person removed for their conduct is not entitled to a refund.
- Venues, times, running orders and the practitioners, performers and vendors taking part are announced in good faith and may change. Changes to the line-up or schedule of an event that still takes place are not grounds for a refund.
- Events may be photographed or filmed. By attending you agree that you may appear in photos and video we use to share and promote Sensorium. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of the team on the day and we will do our best to leave you out.
5. Prices, waves and discounts
- Prices are in US dollars and are set per event. Any service fee and sales tax are shown on the order before you pay.
- Some tickets are priced in waves: a named price (such as “Early Bird”) that moves to the next price on a set number of days before the event. The price you pay is the price in force when you buy.
- An event may offer a member discount off the order when you are signed in, or when you create an account at checkout. It applies once per order and not to vendor spaces. If you decline to create an account, or use the email of an existing account without signing in, the order is at full price.
- The total you are shown is the total you are charged. If a price changes between the moment you see your total and the moment you pay — a wave ending, for example — nothing is charged and you are shown the new total to confirm.
- Members may share a personal link to an event. Some events reward members for tickets sold through their link. That reward comes out of the organiser’s share and never raises the price you pay.
6. Refunds, cancellations and event changes
- Tickets are non-refundable, except as set out in this section or where the law requires otherwise.
- If we cancel an event and do not move it to a new date, every ticket is refunded in full — ticket price, fees and tax — to the card it was paid with.
- If we move an event to a new date or venue, your ticket is valid for the new one. If you cannot attend the new date, write to us before it and we will refund the ticket in full.
- If you can no longer attend, write to knowledge@sensorium.events before the event. Any refund in that case is at our discretion.
- A refund is always the whole ticket at the price paid, including its fees and tax; we do not make partial refunds of a ticket. It is returned through our payment processor to the original payment method, and the time it takes to appear depends on your bank.
- A refunded ticket is cancelled and can no longer be used for entry.
- Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can almost always resolve it faster.
7. Vendors and spaces
- Vendors choose a space on the event’s floor plan and pay for it through the same checkout as a ticket. A space comes with admission for one person.
- Depending on the event, a space is either confirmed as soon as it is paid, or held as a request until we approve it. If we decline a request, the payment is refunded in full automatically. Once confirmed, the space appears as yours on the floor plan.
- Vendors are independent businesses. You are responsible for your own products and services, for any permits, licences, insurance and sales tax they require, and for any claims about what you sell. You must follow the venue’s rules and the load-in and load-out times we give you.
- We may move a vendor to a comparable space where the layout or safety requires it. A paid space is not refundable if you do not attend; if we cancel the event, section 6 applies.
8. Practitioners, teams and payouts
- Practitioners, facilitators and performers who lead sessions do so as independent professionals, not as our employees. You are responsible for your own qualifications, licences, insurance, and the safety of the practice you lead, including screening participants and offering modifications where appropriate.
- Where an event shares its profit with practitioners, the share agreed for that event is calculated after the event closes: ticket income, less fees, seller rewards and the event’s recorded expenses. If an event makes no profit, there is nothing to share. The figures are reviewed before payouts are submitted.
- Payouts are credited to your account balance on the site by default. You may instead connect a bank account through Stripe, in which case payouts are sent there. We may ask for tax information, such as a Form W-9, before paying you.
- People given a role on an event’s team — stage managers, crew and volunteers — see that event’s schedule and team for their role. Use that access only for the event.
9. Community conduct, at events and online
Sensorium is built on trust between people who have come to open up. At events and anywhere on the site — profiles, the feed, comments and messages — you agree that you will not:
- harass, threaten, intimidate or demean anyone, or touch anyone without their clear consent, including during partner or hands-on practices;
- photograph or record anyone in a session where the facilitator has asked for no recording, or share images of others in a way they would not expect;
- post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- send unsolicited promotions or spam to members, or collect members’ details for marketing;
- make medical claims to other members, or present yourself as qualified to diagnose or treat when you are not;
- impersonate anyone, or interfere with the site or try to access what is not yours.
We may remove content, limit or suspend an account, or refuse entry to future events for a breach of this section.
Your content. What you post stays yours. By posting it on Sensorium Events you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it on the site and in promoting Sensorium, for as long as it remains posted. Your public profile is visible to anyone; contact details such as your email address and phone number are kept private.
10. Health, wellness and assumption of risk
Nothing at Sensorium is medical advice. Sessions, talks, articles, the assistant’s answers and anything said by a practitioner or vendor are offered for education and personal exploration. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment or a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Talk to your doctor before taking part if you are pregnant, have a heart, respiratory, neurological or psychiatric condition, a history of seizures, or any injury or condition that physical activity, breathwork, heat, cold, sound or altered breathing could affect.
You take part at your own risk. Wellness practices can be physically and emotionally intense. Breathwork can cause dizziness, tingling or strong emotion; movement and bodywork can cause strain or injury; heat, cold and outdoor settings carry their own risks; and products sold by vendors, including anything you eat, drink or apply, are the vendor’s. You decide what you take part in. You may step out of any practice at any time, and you should tell the facilitator about anything that affects your safety.
Assumption of risk and release. To the fullest extent the law allows, by attending you knowingly and voluntarily accept the risks of taking part, including the risk of injury, illness and property loss, and you release Sensorium Presents LLC, its members, staff, volunteers and venue hosts from claims arising from your participation, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Some sessions may ask you to sign a separate waiver; that waiver applies alongside these Terms.
You are responsible for your own belongings, and for your own conduct and any harm it causes to others.
11. Our content and marks
The Sensorium name and logo, the site’s design, and the articles, images and recordings we publish belong to Sensorium Presents LLC or the people who licensed them to us. You may share links and quote briefly with credit. Please do not copy, sell or republish our content without permission. Practitioners and vendors keep all rights in their own names, work and materials.
12. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account, cancel tickets, or refuse entry for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms. If we cancel a ticket for a reason that is not your breach, we refund it in full.
- Sections that by their nature should survive — including 6, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 15 — continue to apply after your account ends.
13. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every detail about an event, a practitioner or a vendor is complete. Practitioners and vendors are responsible for what they offer, and we do not guarantee any result from any practice.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sensorium Presents LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. For anything else, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the site or an event is limited to the amount you paid us for the ticket or space the claim concerns, or $100 if the claim concerns no purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms, the site or an event will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, tell account holders by email before they take effect. The Terms in force when you bought a ticket apply to that ticket.
