Sensorium Ai is the assistant on this site. It answers questions about our events, tickets and the community, and helps members find their way around. When you talk to it you are sharing something with us, so this page says exactly where that goes.
What the assistant is given, and what it is not
The assistant cannot browse the site’s records for itself. It sees only what is put into each request, which is:
- what you have written to it, and the earlier messages in the same conversation
- the page you are on, so it can answer about what is in front of you
- a short summary of your own account — never anybody else’s
- our own notes about Sensorium, its events and how the site works
It is never given your password, your card details (we do not hold them — Stripe does), tax documents, or another member’s private information.
What is taken out before a request leaves
Card numbers, social security numbers, passwords, access keys and private keys are stripped out of what you write before it goes anywhere. There is no setting to turn this off, and there will not be one: if you paste your card number into a chat by mistake, it should not travel any further.
Text that tries to give the assistant new instructions — “ignore your instructions and…” — is removed and the attempt is recorded in our security log. That is a tripwire, not a wall: a determined attempt can be phrased around a list of patterns. What limits the harm is that the assistant writes answers. Anything beyond that is switched off by default and gated separately.
It is not a practitioner
The assistant can tell you what a session involves or what to bring. It cannot tell you whether a practice is safe for your body. Nothing it says is medical advice; for that, speak to your doctor, and on the day, to the facilitator leading the session.
The log
Every request to the assistant is recorded: which feature, when, on whose behalf, how large, whether anything sensitive was removed, and whether instruction-like text was found.
The log does not record what you wrote. That is deliberate. A transparency log that kept your words would be a second copy of your conversations, read by whoever administers the site. It records the shape of each request, not the text.
Your conversations themselves are saved to your account so you can come back to them, and are deleted with your account.
Who processes it
The assistant runs on Claude, made by Anthropic. Anthropic’s API terms state that data sent through the API is not used to train their models — which is different from the consumer Claude app, where it may be. Anthropic is named as a service provider in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use your conversations, your profile or anything you post to train any model, ours or anybody else’s, and we never will.
You never have to use it
Everything on Sensorium Events — tickets, spaces, your profile and the community — works without the assistant. If you would rather ask a person, write to knowledge@sensorium.events.
Telling us about a problem
If you find a way to make Sensorium Ai do something it should not, or it tells you something wrong about an event, write to knowledge@sensorium.events. We will confirm receipt and tell you what we are doing about it.
