Sensorium Artists & Performers

Canvases that fill in over the course of the day, dancers moving through the crowd, fire after dark and aerialists overhead: the artists who make a Sensorium day something you watch happen, not just attend.

What they do

Art made in front of you, from first light to close

At every Sensorium day, visual artists work live: painters at the easel, muralists on large panels, digital artists projecting as they draw, body and face painters turning guests into part of the work. Nothing arrives finished. Attendees walk past a blank surface in the morning and find a finished piece by the closing circle.

Because the day moves through the marketplace, the work is seen all day by the same people, who come back to check on it, ask about it, and often leave with it.

Performance

Dance, fire, aerial and live music, woven into the day

Performers are not a stage slot between speakers. Dancers open the arrival ceremony and move through the marketplace; flow and fire artists carry the evening as the light drops; aerialists work silks and lyra above the open floor; musicians carry the day from the first intention to the closing frequency immersion.

Every performance is placed where it lands best, and timed to the arc of the day rather than a fixed running order.

Where the work lives

One day, one continuous canvas

Every Sensorium day moves the same way — from quiet sessions, through the marketplace, to the peak. Art and performance appear in every part of it, each in its own register.

Quiet

During Sessions

Quiet, contemplative work: live painting and sound that accompany breathwork, meditation and the closing immersion.

Connective tissue

In the Marketplace

Easels and panels among the makers and brands, with body art, live illustration and roving performers where everyone at the day crosses paths.

Slower

The Slower Spaces

Seating and slower pieces: acoustic sets, poetry and the conversations between artists and guests that happen when the day slows down.

Together

The Peak

The day’s peak: dance, flow arts, fire and aerial, in front of the whole community at once.

Craft and care

Fire and air done properly

Fire, aerial and acrobatic work is planned with the Sensorium team well before the day: clearance around every fire act, a safety spotter and extinguisher on hand, rigging points checked for height and load, and space kept clear of the crowd.

Visual artists are placed with the same care: room for the canvas, cover from the weather, power where a projector or tablet needs it, and a surface that can take paint.

Sequenced, not scheduled

A full arc of live art, arrival to close

Sensorium is carried by a continuous throughline: arrival with an intention-setting ceremony, workshops and movement through the middle of the day, a musical and movement peak, and a closing frequency immersion. Artists work across the whole arc, so their pieces grow in front of the same people for hours, not minutes.

Being an artist here

Part of a community, not a backdrop

Sensorium is built on the conviction that real transformation happens in community. Artists and performers share the day with practitioners, makers, food purveyors and non-profits, and the people who watch a mural take shape or a fire set unfold are the same people who stay for the whole day.

Each artist has a profile on the Sensorium network, where guests can find their work, follow them, and reach them after the event.
